Default Help quick!!

Ok i built a cinder block pit to Cowgirls specs but i cannot get my temps up. What am i doing wrong?

I know she doesn't spread the bed of coals evenly. Did you pick up on that?

Yes, seemed to rise a little when i spread them out more

Lol, yes adding coal. Its a trial run with a 15 lb turkey, hog is thursday

She concentrates them under the meatier parts like the hams and shoulders. I suspect radiant heat is important.

I takes a while to get all that concrete hot. Any time I ever cooked on one we build a Blazing bone fire in side let it burn down to coals spread em out pop the pig on and shovel a new bed every 45 -1 hr.
