Default People's Choice - Ribs

I am entering my first competition and the organizer is asking for 150 bite size pieces for the people's choice portion of the competition. Am I expected to provide 150 ribs or a peice of meat from the rib?

Certainly ask the organizer, because they obviously have something in mind. However, if it's a peoples choice rib competition, I suggest that the "judges" would expect a whole rib.

Started competing in chili cookoffs back in the 1990's and have competed in more than I care to count. I became a CBJ in MiM in 2005, then MBN and in GBA in 2010. I've probably judged 130+- BBQ comps (sanctioned and unsanctioned) over this time. That said, I really enjoy competing more than I enjoy judging, and hope to get back to doing 4 or 5 a year in the near future.

More info is needed. Are they providing the ribs? If they expect you to provide the ribs, it sounds like a definite profit loss.

If it's just a small sample (1-2oz) of BBQ, go with PP.

My opinion only.
