Default vertical offset smoker

so i jumped the gun a little bit buying my second smoker, i already have a electirc masterbuilt which was a gift, i fell in love with smokin and had to get a charcoal smoker for my camper. i bought a vertical masterbuilt dual fuel two door smoker. ive just been ponding turning this thing into an offset. would i reap any benifits from having a side fire box? i was thinking it would help with the temp spikes i have when adding wood/charcoal. just wanting to pick some brains, see what yall thought. thanks for any input!

well I will take a shot at it

you could get a Chargriller side firebox from HD or Lowes and mount it to the side.

I think it would be a neat project

Hey thanks for the replies. I have looked up bandera's, that's kind of where I got the inspiration. I was also looking at a side fire box for a chargriller, there 70 bucks for a new one plus anything else I need to get to mount it. Just didn't know if I would see better temp controls with a sfb... I could make one if I could get the materials cheaper than 70. I have the fabrication skills..
