If you think you will kick yourself if you don't go with the 60 then get the 60!

If you are gonna kick yourself for not getting the 60, then I would totally rule out the 48 and look at the 60 and the 84.

unless your going into business or have a huge family the 48 can handle a lot. I have had 4 packers with a pot of beans with room for at least 4 more packers, also put a whole case of baby backs on without using the top rack.

Are you sure you don't have an 84? There is no way I could get 8 packers on my 48. I think even 4 would be maxing it out.

you probably have the older model without the slide in top rack. Its almost as big as the bottom rack.

there is room to put the top two front to back if you needed to.

You are correct - I have the model with the removable extra shelf (basically a long skinny rack with legs.) I have thought about taking the smoker to a local welder and having a slide-in rack added.
Edit: I just saw your pix... very nice!

Consider the 48 deluxe with live smoke. That can give you some additional capacity.

You received great advice.
Better to have a little more than you need, than not have enough. Go bigger. |
