Hello from NY's capitol district! I've finally decided that this is the summer i'm going to focus on leveling up my bbq skills. I've got an order in for the large WSM (sadly they're difficult to find stocked in stores here) and until it arrives i'm busy consuming all of the bbq related internet i can find.
I did do a final bacon explosion on my grill this past weekend. It came out ok, found a lot of helpful tips for getting a decent smoke going on a gas grill. Can't wait to get started with the WSM though.
I'm also active on reddit and they seem to have a decent r/bbq stub. So if any of you post over there i'll be seeing you.
And yes, i'm shamelessly trying to get my post count up for access to the recipes section here. Typically i'm more of a lurker though :/ If anyone else is local to the Albany area though, defiantly give a shout. I'd love a brain dump from someone, as i have a lot to learn. Looking forward to it though and slaying many beers in the process.
