Is anyone familuar with this supermarket? I went to a new one in our area yesterday, and dang near spent about an hour just perusing the cheese area. Its a very nice store, but kind of high end prices for me. I love just walking around and seeing things I can't find anywhere else. I will go back when I have more time and money. They had a smoker out front and have smoked and or bbqed food, I did not buy any, but will give it a shot soon.

I lived in St. Charles, Mo a few years back and shopped at Dierbergs. They had nice cheese, wine, produce and meats...though a bit overpriced. I would shop at other stores and drop in occasionally for some special items.

I do shop at Dierbergs on occasion. Some of their items are a bit over-priced compared to Schnucks or Shop N Save, but their selection is excellent. Their all-natural turkey and ham from their deli are the best I've had. Haven't had their smoked food yet... it sure smells amazing, but I just can't see paying for it, when I can do it myself....

Cruising expensive fancy grocery stores is dangerous. I walked into a place out here and walked out with a Wagyu tri-tip that cost me a bundle.

It was delicious though.

Higher prices for most items but you get what you pay for. They have some of the meatiest spare ribs I've ever cooked. There is a reason I get my comp ribs from their meat market.....

I shop Dierberg's.
It may be a little higher than others, but, IMHO, the quality is better and the store itself is much cleaner.

It's not Whole Foods expensive nor does it have the "you're lucky we stoop to let you shop here" snobbiness of Straub's.
