Same story with my son, he's just about 3.5 and we have to cut meat and hide it in things. My 10 month old daughter on the other hand can't get enough.

If I ever have a child later in life (but that requires a wife which I don't want at this point! Ha!) I surely hope that they will chow down on a steak like that. Makes me so happy to see you feeding a 1 1/2 year old child real food. Thankful my mom and grandma had meats and good southern veggies in my mouth as soon as I could swallow it.

It's so awesome that he chowed down on a medium rare piece of meat. If you start them out eating properly cooked meat then I guess they won't know anything other that it. I'm truly lucky that I branched out at a later age and starting eating redder steaks. Mom always cooked them to death for dinner when I was younger and when dad was at work..... I still lover her though.
