Default Whole Pork Butt Roast $.97 per lb

Baywood Foods Hitchcock TX, near Galveston TX... Also store location in Freeport TX.

Local advertisement for pork butts described as "Fresh Whole Pork Butt Roast", limit 2 w/$10 purchase. Add good thru 4/30/13.

I ran out and picked up 2 today, approx 8 lbs each for $16.00 each. They do have the shoulder bone included. First time buyer so I'm not sure how great a deal this is but it sure looks good to me.

Now I have to learn how to smoke these things :)

sounds like you paid $2 a lbs if they were $16 each at 8 lbs

HEB has them also for that price this week in houston ($1)

They had them last week here in the valley. Stocked the freezer with a few and a few to smoke this weekend. Cheap parties

we've had two different grocery stores with them on sale for 99 cent a lb. My deep freezer is loaded with more butts than Jeffrey Dahmer's.

Opps!
Thanks, that should have been $16 total for both 8 pounders. Compared with the prices of other meats I was really excited to find these.

Anything under $1.75 is a great deal for whole butts. If I found a price like that, my freezer would be full too. Whole butts average around $2.20/lb around here. Funny, that's the same exact price they are getting for Brisket packers.
