Default Iowa Chops on the UDS (PRON)

The in-laws are in town and that means we have to do our traditional Iowa Chop dinner. I fired up the UDS today and did the entire meal on it. Good stuff.

After marinating all day in Italian dressing, I wiped them off and seasoned with Plowboys Yard Bird.

We joined a food co-op so we're now officially hippies and this is some of our 28 pounds of asparagus that we picked up on Saturday. Wrapped in bacon, of course.

I forgot to get pre-show pics of the potatoes, but these are red potatoes seasoned with olive oil, Rosemary, black pepper, smoked sea salt and dusted with paprika.

And the fork shot...

Does that mean you are switching to a solar powered electric pit to help conserve energy, protect the atmosphere from burning charcoal, and save mother earth???

So, you got 28#'s of asparagus, what are you going to do with the rest. Mother Earth News had a recipe for canning it.
