Question Spice Blender/Grinder for making rub?

I was making a rub today and was getting a little annoyed with mixing in the clumpy brown sugar and generally getting all of the ingredients to mix. I was doing it with a fork. Who uses a blender or grinder for making rubs? What would you recommend?

Thanks.

I use a blade type coffee grinder reserved for spice grinding only. Makes quick work reducing dried chipoltes to chipolte powder. Just don't get too close when you open the lid, (don't ask me how I know...)

With dry spices I just mix in a bowl with my hand(s).

For wet rubs I use a morter & pestal. A little garlic, rosemary, thyme & mint with a splash of olive oil is perfect for lamb.

I suppose you could use a food processer, but what fun is that? Old school Baby!

Coffee Grinder as well, I don't use brown sugar I use turbinado it doesn't clump and take a bit more heat... you could dry your brown sugar that will stop it from clumping as well.

I own both of these for mixing small amounts of spice and rub combinations. For larger quantities, I use a food processor.
