Default Washington State Spring BBQ Championship, Monroe, WA

The Evergreen State Spring Festival and Washington State Spring BBQ Championship is being held on April 27 & 28 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington.

Sponsored by Monroe Fireplace & Stove and Speedway Chevrolet the minimum purse for this event is $5,000.

This year we are featuring a CASI chili cook off on Saturday along with the return of the People's Choice fundraiser category. The People's Choice category features proteins provided, a separate minimum $1,000 purse, and participating teams receiving a stipend to help defray costs.

The events are open to the public with free admission. There is a small fee for parking. The Evergreen State Spring Festival will include a carnival, various vendors, a beer garden for adults, a rootbeer garden for kids, & live music.

Fire extinguisher re-certification and recharging services will be available starting Saturday morning.

This event is an automatic qualifier for the American Royal Invitational, the World Food Championships (BBQ & Chili), and a draw qualifier for the Jack Daniels Invitational.

About more 2 weeks until this event and we have 27 teams registered and ready to cook.

Due to the Sam's Club Regional Qualifier being held on the same weekend as the Washington State Spring BBQ Championship we are changing the registration refund policy.
Registered teams that qualify for the Sam's Club Regional round in Las Vegas and are traveling to Las Vegas to compete in the Regional event will be refunded the full cost of your Washington State Spring BBQ Championship registration fees.
