It is not insulated. I thought about putting some firebrick in the bottom, but I'm going to wait and see if it is necessary.

The firebox wheels come off when it is in use and it has steel feet it will sit down on.

FYI, I did line my firebox with firebricks I got from Northern Tool. They are regular 4-1/2"x9" but only 1-1/4 thick used for wood stoves. Box of 6 is about $13. They are easy to cut to size & shape with a diamond wheel on my small Makita grinder - they work great.

How do you steer that thing! I'm interested in how stable the temps will be with those huge doors!

Looks good so far. Quite a leap from the COS, huh.
Any idea how to lift it to remove tires?

When will your restaurant be opening?

Just kidding... man, that is a serious meat monster! Nice design... I love seeing someone take an old tank and turn it into something awesome. Good job!

First thing I thought of too. You need some swivel casters. You might also put some kind of hitch on there so you can move it with your lawn mower or a 4 wheeler, if you have one.

I can lift it enough to point it in the right direction. We thought about swivel casters, but worried about heat since they aren't as easily removable.
