One of the things I love about this site is the great pron. Showing the progress and the finished product is a great learning tool. The question that comes to mind is was the cook done with the lid on or off? Aspiring pit masters might want to know this.

I never open my pit just to take a picture. I take them at times when I would otherwise open it, like to foil ribs, etc.

Same as BobM, never open the lit just to peek.

Same as the others. Pics are only taken when the lid is open for some other reason. Especially on the UDS, every lid opening comes with a big temp change. So I only open when necessary.

Agreed. The last cook I took pictures of were done while I was pulling fatties off. I love you farkers but not enough to delay my scheduled grubbin.
