I just finished smoking my first pork belly. Does it matter if you slice long ways or short way.
Thanks |

I'd slice it the short way. The strands of meat seem to run in that direction, and make for a better meat to fat ratio.

Thanks guys. It is for bacon. I sliced a piece each way and it looked like it could slice either way.

It depends on what you are doing with it. I dice mine into cubes. I slice it long. It tastes the same...porky goodness.
