Default tatonka dust hits the open market. ya.....

welp, once i found out that tanya and marty opened up owensbbq.com i had to place order. it pays to be part of the family. i got set up nice.

shakers, 1lb of tatonka dust, cook t-shirt and 4 koozies. nice......

going right in my spice cabinet.

oh ya. tri w/ mucho tatonka dust. i let it sit for a couple hours wrapped up in the frig.

fired up the 26 and away we go.

cut up some fingerling and onions.

bacon in the pan for some bacon goodness.

added potatoes and onions. happy, happy.

used these in the potatoes. good stuff maynard.

tri on to get some crispness going on.

happiness is a good crust on my tri.

needed some green sticks on the grill. a little oil and some IG rust italiano (loving this rub).

green sticks getting happy, happy.

everything is looking good.

this was one of my best meals. everything had outstanding flavor.

thanks marty and tanya. love my tatonka dust. :)

Yeah, tatonka dust has a great flavor. There's something there I can't quite put my finger on that reminds me of the spices in beef jerkey (not in a bad way).

I do not get why the maker of this product is spelling it incorrectly. It is in fact, Tatanka, not Tatonka. Maybe they are combining two words in the Siox/Lakota vernacular?
Thinking that they can combine Tatanka lotanka... (sitting bull). I guess its kind of like paid and payed, both technically correct but with the stupid people still using the spelling payed, just because they are too lazy to spell it like the rest of the world and entrench in their stubborness holding up the dictionary (AHD) as their bible.

I will probably have the same problem with Barbefunkoramaque and Barbafunkaramaque when I launch it.

Nothing stupid, lazy nor stubborn about the name of the seasoning, it is simply the name of a product. My wife and I live in North Dakota where buffalo are native to this state, my father in law raises buffalo which the pasture is adjacent to 3 sides of the yard my wife and I live... we are probably just a little more familiar with buffalo than the average person.

Tatonka Dust is the name of a product, plain and simple. Hope to earn your business and you give the Tatonka Dust a try!
