Default New pizza oven on market

So I been wanting a pizza oven but can't justify the cost for one since I need a new roof and couple other things.
I was looking at his unit. Takes hardwood pellets and gets to 800 degrees.
Can't see much of it on the site or the kick start site. Cost is about $340 with shipping.

Or I make a mortarless brick oven. I would change the design a little but something like this.

Re: the video - he needs to take a lesson or two from PitmasterX. When he got to the point where his invisible companion asked "How long is this going to take?" all I could think was "Amen Sister!"

Now, back to the video.

And find some other time to play with the dogs!

Hell I'd try that. I've been wanting a brick oven for a long time, and this is a nice alternative to making a permanent oven you can't take with you if you move. Wheels turning....

There aren't any decent pics of the unit, and the one in the vid (What you could actually see) looked like it was just cobbled together out of scrap. Where is the burn chamber? At the back of the unit? Interesting, but...

I guess don't want to show to much off it until he gets a patent. I would like to see more of it before comitting to buying it. Here is an email he sent me.

"It burns hard wood pellets and we're designing the hopper so that it keeps roughly on 1hours worth at a time. It can be topped up at any point without any interruption to cooking. Basically you can keep on cooking with it until you run out of dough. The oven is 36 cm wide so you can easily fit a 12+ inch pizza in it.

Currently, we offer a statutory 1 year manufacturers warranty and 14 day return period. Once we have a bit of milage behind us, we hope to increase these!"

Easily? 12 inches is a bit over 30 cm. You'd have about an inch on either side, I guess that's easily but not a whole lot of wiggle room.

Mortarless brick ovens using angle irons have been built and used by many backyard pizza enthusiasts. Looks exactly like that one.

I built one! http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=132099

Its a lot of fun, but I have to admit that its much easier and manageable to do pizzas on my BGE. I have been making my own dough now, and can turn out quite decent thin crust pizzas in about half the time from lighting to serving.

Concrete brick will break and spall, as it is not heated during manufacture. There will be air voids that will heat and crack the bricks. Clay bricks are kiln fired, thus will take any heat you can create with a wood fire.

It's not a bad little idea, I have been wanting to build a wood fired oven, but, it needs to be larger.

Cement bricks can absorb water, and that water can flash to steam, and BOOM!
