Yeah... It's an inexpensive offset. Thin metal so it burns a lot of fuel. You can cook good food on it and it would be a good offset to learn on, but I think you'll soon get frustrated with it. It's probably over priced. Offer $50 if you really want it.

+1 $50 sounds more like a fair price for that lil' offset...tell the guy your BBQ brethren won't let you pay a dime over 50 bucks

You would be crazy to pass on a $100.00 Bar B Chef. They cost $350.00 or so at the time and are made outta 16 gauge steel. Very nice offset compared to the cheap crap out there. I would jump on that. This was my first "real" smoker.
Here's mine with added wheels. ![]() |

I think it would be worth 100.00 but I would make sure and check what the deal is with that silver paint on the inside. It might be the photograph but I would not want it to be something toxic.
I have seen that smoker at Sports Academy for $385.00. |

Bar-b-Chefs haven't been made for years. I have one of the last made. And it's hardly a cheap offset (sorry RonL). Mine is 3/16 steel throughout and cooks great. The last ones had all the right features from the factory - no mods needed. The one in the ad would need the exhaust modded and the thermo moved. It will hold temps even in freezing weather. $50 or $100 is a steal.

Imo, for $100 it's a nice entry into the wonderful world of stickburning.

I never said cheap. I said inexpensive. $300 for an offset is inexpensive.
A Chargriller at $125 is cheap. (No offense to the Chargriller folks out there).

Not a bad unit. Though not great. Would be an excellent starter rig..
