Default Comp Selection KC area - Input needed

Hey all - planning out our weekends in May and was hoping to mix things up some this year. Looking for any input or feedback for some of the Kansas City area comps in may in terms of competition level, pay out, good fun, etc. Have several that we are considering and thought I would ask the group to help.

May 3/4

Truman Heritage Festival - Grandview, MO
Brew, Blues, and BBQ - Lansing, KS

May 10-11

Lawrence Sertoma 48 - Lawrence, KS (finished 6th in this one last year)
Platte City Cook Off - Platte City, MO

5/17-18

Lake of the Ozarks Blues and BBQ - Lake of the Ozarks, MO

Thanks all - probably looking to do two out of these.

We did Platte City last year and it was great. Well-run contest, Kids Q and a great location with the campground. Lots of things for kids to do. That one is on our must-do list from here on out.

Competition is pretty good at this one, too. A few big names there and lots of people who don't compete very often, too. Best family atmosphere of any contest I've been to...but that's a total of 5 contests, including the Royal, so my experience is somewhat limited.
