Smoking a prime rib roast for my work team tonight using this recipe. I made the herb rub last night. Do you think it would matter if I rub it now or wait 2 hours prior putting it in the WSM?

I season my prime rib a couple days in advance. Probably wouldn't make much difference in your case this close to the cook.
