In Nelsonville OH contest last fall, we got a boot on a trophy mount . . . definitely unique! For generics, my vote would go to certificate.

I would prefer a candy bar. Hardly ever keep tchotchkes. Hardly ever waste a candy bar. (except in a Clint Eastwood way of wasting one)

Of the choices offered, I guess the certificate, unless the ribbon were some really fancy rosette.

At Smoke N' Thunder in Rome, GA this year, we received Commemorative coins of the event. They are pretty heavy and I use the 4 I received as paperweights at the office.

I recommend carabeners. They have great use around the cook site and in general. They can be individualized. 250 for $200, some are prizes, and some are souvenirs for sale.
