Default Guru Question

I just went home for lunch to start a fire and put some snack sticks on some smoke. When I did, the fan on my guru wifi cyberq wasn't turning. Everything seems to be working fine with the power and the the therms, but the fan just seems dead. Anybody else ever run into this? I've only had it for a couple months, and this is the first time its done it. Anybody got any suggestions for troubleshooting? Thanks for any help.

Not with a guru, but I had that happen with a Stoker fan. Turns out that the casing had suddenly started touching the actual fan and there was enough friction to keep the fan from turning.

I've had the solder points that solder the cables onto the board on the fan come loose / not on the board anymore. Sent back to Guru for repair. Try to wiggle the cables going into the fan or just open the fan up and have a look see.

Sounds silly I know, but make sure the fan plug is all the way in on the CyberQ. Hopefully something simple. Good luck.

That's not so silly. One of the gals on the first season of BBQ Pitmasters was freaking out and called an onsite BBQ Guru rep in the middle of the night because she thought the unit wasn't working. Turned out to be a plug wasn't all the way in.
