Any form of chili. Whether it is brisket chili, chucksteak chili, pulled pork chili. Nothing warms you up on a cold day than some whiskey and/or chili

I'm in same winter mess as you, and again like you looking for something other than chili.

I plan on making some beef bone broth in the pressure cooker a bit latter today, so I trying to think of a way to use that in tonight's dinner.

A couple ideas so far:
French Onion Soup
Beef Stroganoff

Went to Walmart because i didnt feel like driving 30 miles in the snow and ice today to goto Costco... Wandering through the meat isle.. i saw a "Prime Rib Roast" hummm since when did walmart start selling "Prime" rib... after further inspection it was labled "Choice" none the less for 5.98/lb is it worth it??? So i decided to get one got a 5lb boness rib roast... picked up some frozen u12 shrimp and some onion and portabella mushrooms... $40 for the whole thing... now the question becomes how good is the meat.

Has anyone had this "Prime Rib" from Walmart?

We take our salts pretty seriously here. The red alaea salt is what we use for steaks. Its sea salt dried on red clay. Usually use em for grilling or pig (season before cooking otherwise the Alaea will taste a little raw). Gives an earthy and sweeter flavor. Otherwise for general use we go with white coarse sea salt but that can get bitter on direct grill but good for table use after cooking. I know trader joe sells some, but too unorthodox for my taste, they make a black "Hawaiian" salt blended with charcoal? Yuck. If you want some Alaea salt just let me know.
