Default BBQ Road Trip

I'm planning to take a road-trip from the Minneapolis area down to Ft. Myers, FL in mid-February. To get a good idea of the route use 55328 & 33931 as the zip codes in your favorite maps app. I am planning to take my time on the trip and I would love to hit as many great BBQ joints as possible along the way. I'm not against a reasonable detour here & there but I don't want to totally derail my trip with huge sidetracks, but I am willing to take some detours if you think it's really worth it. So what BBQ joints should I stop at on my trip? What places are worth making major detours? Thanks in advance for the help!

BTW: I promise to post pics of the trip when it happens!

Seems like Kansas City and Memphis are pretty reasonable stops on you path given that Ft Myers is on the west. From Memphis you can hit Decantur for Big Bob Gibsons.
