Default Anyone use the ribolater in competition?

Looks like a fun gadget. But is it merely just a gadget? Just wondering if anyone has had success with it. Looks like it could be good with chicken, but what do I know.
Birthday is coming wanna make a good choice.
Thanks,

Never used mine in a comp, but you are right, it is great for small chicken parts. I even made up a couple of ABT racks, flat stock with 1" holes, so the peppers could get a ride along with the meat!

The Rib-O-Later guy used one with a Cajun Bandit in a comp once and took GC IIRC. There's a thread on it.

I have one, new in box, if you are interested. The plan was to use it for chicken Either on a WSM or Master Forge Charcoal grill. Before I could even experiment I got rid of both cookers and also went a different direction with my chicken.

I installed one in an FEC100 and loved it. The only problem with was I kept burning out the motor so I took it out.

That I would love to see!

I was at a comp and a guy had two stainless steel commercial holding ovens converted to upright cabinet smokers and he had a rotisserie option built in with the drive motors mounted outside the cabinet.
It was a very nice setup and the guy had it all together-one of those home built pits I wish I'd taken pics of.
