I tried a completely new to me method of cooking ribs on my Akorn today. Usually I season the snot out of the ribs but this time I went with a much lighter initial coat of rub, then about 2 hours in I added another coat and let them finish. I also placed a pan of water under the ribs and man oh man these were the best ribs i've ever smoked bar none! I've been really impressed with my Akorn over the last 8-9 months, and today I just got even more fond of it! Oh and the rub was Simply Marvelous Season All. That stuff is INCREDIBLE! Enough jabbering!
