Was tasty but I swear I can never get the smoke taste I want ... Next time I'll use hickory and oak... Apple never does it enough for me and pork.... Maybe I'm missing something ... Only my fifth time doing a butt.... First one that small

All I use is oak and I get decent smoke taste. Maybe use a little more wood or cook it longer.

apple wood is a lighter smoke, hickory will give it more smoke but will burn hotter then apple. so make sure you think about that. it might change your time just a little. Looks like a good butt.
