I build custom doors mostly out of sapele which is an African hardwood and I'm wondering what you guys think about using it in my stick burner. Could it be unsafe? I have tons of scrap that is kiln dried and burns really well.

Other than doing a search for toxins I don't know anything about this wood. I am guessing if when burning it smells of ok then go for it, unless you find some bad info on it. How about talking to the folks you buy it from for more info.
