First time cooker on WSM. Did chicken fine the other day. Trying to do the minion method with pork butts. I can't seem to get the nice TBS. WSM has been going since 11 and still white smoke. I'm up to temp. but no TBS. Lit/ashed over charcoal was put into the middle of the unlit charcoal using kingsford blue bag. Already running way behind so it looks like I will be trying HnF today also.

Do you have any wood in with the KBB? What temperature? What's different today than when you did the chicken?

Open your vents up, let your coals burn down burn white and then close the vents up again. If you've got any wood on the take it out and see if that's your culprit. All of the large chunks of apple I've had lately all produce a big heavy white smoke so I have to break me down before using them again.
