Maybe create an inexpensive tool to crush the charcoal?

Most likely people will not want to break it themselves and get their hands dirty.

Maybe include a durable bag that can withstand the abuse, like a potato sack or something close to it. Its inexpensive and the customer will feel like you thought about everything for them instead of leaving them with a problem to solve on their own.

Do the wood chunks have to be just as small? I think you would need a wood chipper to get chunks of wood small enough to fit and people are not going to want to buy a wood chipper. How do wood chips perform in your smoker? I believe you can go those in large quantities for relatively cheap.

Maybe you should do a small demonstration(pics or a video) of how your gravity feed smoker can burn charcoal. Show them the breaking of the charcoal and you loading it and then maybe cook something on your smoker(something familiar like ribs). This will probably grab the most attention and show that you have a automated charcoal smoker, I believe a lot of people think your smoker just does pellets.

Video of burner. burning wood pellet.
Usually I burn charcoal. Charcoal can not have big flame as pellet.
In a smoker you do not need flame

Im surprised to see California made that list at all and its ahead of Missouri which is a shocker considering that is where the Kansas City Barbeque Society(KCBS) is located. Im not surprised by your numbers outside of the US, BBQ just isnt as popular.

I guess,
Even though BBQ is not as popular in California as in Kansas, the California like electronics more than other states.

seems following ups derail the track.
let us back to original direction.

I can make smoker, grill, counter, or any kitchen applicants in China by best food class stainless steel. Still the price will be lower than what you can get in states.
I may open BBQ restaurants in major cities.
There are extra pits for clients to play by themself too.
There are McDonalds, or KFC, why not GOLDEN BBQ.
