Hard to tell from the pic, but that doesn't look like tri tip to me. The grain is all wrong.

that is the same price we pay here and ours seem to be trimmed oddly as well.

Dang bro, might be worth the gas to cruise up to NC with a big cooler. Just bought some nice ones at Costco for $3.99.

That is even more expensive than I pay for it in AussieLand. You are definately getting screwed on price.

That's about what I have to pay here in North Florida but it beats not eating it. Enjoy!

Publix is a huge rip off. Once in a while they will have deal and that's usually only on non meat items when they have B1G1. Kroger is much better. As a matter of fact, you are in ATL. You need to go the the Smyrna Intl Farmer's market. Their meat is really high quality and super cheap. How about fresh ribeye, for 3.99 and T-bone for $4.49

WHAT! That's pretty steep. My local butcher here in St. Louis gives it to me trimmed for 3.99/lb. Apparently I'm one of the only guys who's asked for a tri-tip cut though around here.

It is the only option we have for tritip in South Ga. Have never seen them at Costco in Jax
