Well we just buit this for a local contractor and have decided to call this our signature series. there will eventually be a pro and and deluxe model we are actually kinda just getting started and our cookers have been performing very well
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the back of our trailers have a step in, this allows us to shift our cooker either way before welding down and gives us the desired tongue weight we like. we cut our firebox and and warming chamber out as one unit, this saved on welding and sped up the process ![]() the cutout on thhe warmer at the bottom gives easy accesss to wash and clean warmer out. The warmer door has a piece added to it to close this section off ![]() Tyler cutting the doors, they sprung some then I got on the phone to my Buddy Kam and he headed me back in the right direction (Kam is a master at cookers and has helped me tremendously( ![]() looking at the inside grease trap. This is welded soild and you could actually close the ball valve and fill with water if you chose to. ![]() making the fit to the cook chamber ![]() ![]() ![]() We decided to strap the top, weld the hinges and complete the cutting peocess ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by TuscaloosaQ; 10-02-2012 at 06:47 AM.. Looks great!
Question for people who have this type of setup: My offset has a large barrel, and a pretty thick firebox. To get my temps up high enough in the barrel, the top of my firebox is really, REALLY hot. In a design like this, wouldn't that make the heat in the chamber too hot to cook anything, except maybe chickens? D |

KBird, the chimney is 6" pipe 35" tallnit drafts excellent.
Funky D I am not sure are you talking about my design or your cooker. I tis hard to say cause I do not know what kinda temps we are talking about. Personally I like reverse flow much better than an offset |

bluetang thanks the contractor wanted crimson on the trailer and I really like it. Does anyone on this site know where to get high temp paint that can be custom colored for the cook chamber. I see cookers like this and would love to try and custom paint some. We do all our painting ourselves

By the way, the cooker looks great! You guys do fabulous work. What size grates are those? I'm probably going to give you a call this week and come grab a tank from you. |

Are you using 2x3 rectangular tubing for the trailer frame? It looks beefy.

OutlawSwine thanks for the tip on the paint. And yes we use tubing on all our trailers actually that is 2by4 11gauge normally we use 2by three but I had the 4" and went with it. You can get a tank anytime you want just let me know. The grates or made of 1" angel 1/4" angel thick using 3/4" #9 flat wire
