Hey gang, yesterday i smoked some ribs, it was my first time smoking them, they were a great success, everyone loved it. I also thank everyone here for helping me get to this point, thanks guys. I started out with St Louise style spare ribs from Costco, they already come trimmed, all i did was remove the membrane. I took the advice mostly from this site http://tvwbb.com/images/2010tvwbharrysoo.pdf. I rubbed the ribs down a few hours before putting in on the smoker. I had the temps from 275-300. I must say it was my first time using briquettes and they performed well, very balanced, i don't think ill use mesquite coals anymore. maybe oak coals and briquettes. Anyways ill shut up, sorry for the mixed pictures, some are from my Canon 5d II and some are from the iphone.

My sub for lunch sure does taste BAD about now...nice pron!

Looks like you did fine for being a "virgin"

Nice looking ribs.

I'm curious what kind of steaks those are. They almost look like choice grade chuck roast cut into strips.

Thx for shutting up and let the pics do the talking :D. Hey those ribs are amazing.

Food looks great, but I think your lawn is suffering

Your ribs look great! You've definitely got some toys I'd like to have! I love the big cutting board and the weed burner. And they look great being shot by the 5d II! I had to scrap to get my 7d, and it does pretty well.

Thanks or sharing your cook!

HAHA, the toys are great, you can have them too. The cutting boards i got on sale at world market for $12, The weed burner was also $20, cheap toys ehh??. Now the 5D II on the other hand was NOT cheap. lol.

They are on the list! (Birthday in 6 weeks).

The mark III was out when I got my 7d, and I just couldn't drop that much. I've got a couple of L lenses and they all do very well together (and they better at those prices!).

Again, nice job on the food. I have the same problem when taking my pics: I don't mind taking a second to get the SLR going during prep, but once the food is cooked it's time to eat. I've been known to snap a quick iphone pic at the end myself. Espicially since I get funny looks when I start taking pictures of food while everyone's ready to devour what's been cooked.

OK, this coffee isn't getting it done after seeing this...
