@iowaleatherheads....um..just a side note, the boiling of sausage has nothing to do with us ...it just happens to be adjacent, and Im a bit afraid to hear how you learned of it...

@Ryan, thanks...will be good to see you...been a year :) Please tell me the family is coming as well...

I know it wasn't the contest. I went to the pancake breakfast and when I got to the sausage pickup I realized they were boiling the sausage. Strange technique, but the cakes were crazy good!

I'm not sure if the budget will allow us to cook this one, but hopefully we can.

Pork Patrol BBQ will be doing this event again this year. Tom and Char have proven the ability to put on a great event for the past 2 years. Hopefully this year will be the same. Not sure if we are doing the people's choice this year but we might. (depends on what it is). If I remember correctly, last years people's choice winner gave away a beer with every rib they gave out. Good Luck to everyone

See y'all there! Erma & I should be getting there sometime Friday afternoon for visiting and I'm judging Saturday . I might need to borrow some smoker space to cook up a batch of ABTs - not for sure yet.

I just made my reservations at Lake Manawa campground again. This is my go-to campground in the Omaha/CB area, $16 per night + $4 on-line fee = $36 for the weekend .
