There is a committee meeting tomorrow and I was just asked to present a list of team wants/needs. They are doing everything within their power and budget to make this a great event for the teams. If you there is something that you can think of that appeals to you when making a decision on where to compete, please post it or PM me and I will pass it along.

Just got an email saying that "Gilly's" is coming and I have heard a rumor that "4 Smokin' Butts" and "Silver Bullet Smokers" may be coming also.

I seriously considered entering this as my very first competition, but I am very nervous about putting my stuff up against experienced teams. One nervous rookie here!

There are several small teams with limited experience competing. One team is making this their first event also. They're from River Forest, IL. The organizer is trying to go out of her way to make this event team friendly. We'd love to have your team compete. Here is the information if you want to register:

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I've since been roped into doing something else this weekend, but I have it on my calendar for next weekend. I am excited to compete, and I am looking forward to meeting new friends on the BBQ circuit!

The Moon-Glo and The Possum Trot Supper Club are both good.
