You are not jokin about the $100 thing... I got this book for maybe $32 give or take and have had it for years and still use it quit often... BUT $100

Yeah, it's crazy town, but it's also a testament to how good a book it is.
I've seen it for as much as $182.

I should mention that the Big Ranch, Big City Cookbook is an outstanding
book as well. It's not pure BBQ/grilling, but it's well worth the investment. I
reviewed it here.

I echo the Big Bob Gibson's BBQ Book sentiment. Lots of good stories, pretty pictures, and practical recipes.

I haven't had a chance to flip through Myron Mixon's book, but after so many recommendations it's on my "to get" list.

I REMEMBER! this is my first bbq book its written in plain great english and he even calls you an idiot if memory serves! i read it cover to cover the first night

Another great one from APL is Charred & Scruffed some fantastic recipes to say the least. Also check out Half.com for serious discounts on bbq books

We usually recycle books at our local Half Price Books and get store credits, (I still collect LP's and always looking for CD's) and have gotten many of the Q books mentioned above.

For the helluvit I did a search for APL's Serious Barbecue and it is currently listed at $129.99 through HPB's network of resellers. I had ordered 3 books last Saturday and the last one just came in from Georgia-

+1 on Peace,Love ,And BBQ.Also like Smokestack Lightning,as well as Holy Smokes(The Big Book Of North Carolina BBQ).BBQ Makes Everything Better.As far as just bbq cookbooks I like anything from Ray (Dr.BBQ)Lampe,or Steve Raichlen.Myrons book is great also,havent read Chris Lilys book or Chris Harts but they are on my list.
