Default Performer with cast iron grates

I just recently bought the Craycort cast iron grate for my new performer and i have to say it was as good a purchase as the grill itself. I am very happy with the results it gives as well as the heat retention, its super easy to clean when done grillin as well. I think personally Weber should sell their grills with these.
If you have never tried these your missing out in my opinion.

Weber sells them as a accessory. The center can be changed to a pizza stone, wok or cast iron grate.

Wish Weber would sell them in a smaller size. I'd love to be able to use the cut out in the middle for a wok on my Keg.

I just scored a lime green Performer on CL for cheap. I'm temped to get these. The grate included with the Performer is heavy and very nice, but I adore the cast iron grates in my cheap Char-Broil. I know I'm going to miss them.

I have the craycort grate on my performer also, and I love the heat retention, especially in the winter months. My grill returns back to temp a lot quicker than it did with the original grate. I mostly do long cooks on my grill, so its kinda like free fuel once they are hot.

The cheapest cast iron grate for the 22.5"/18.5" Weber Kettle is the replacement unit from Char-Broil. This is a two piece unit and I bought it from Academy, Part #: 7315453, SKU #: 0021633896 $30

those charbroils seem like a nice, affordable upgrade.
