I am using Li-ion battery.
I prefer battery than AC/DC adapter. For overnight smoking, it may rain. Pet or children may run around. Battery is safer than 110VAC. But I find some of you usinging AC/DC adapter. If you guys prefer 110 AC power, I can integrate AC/DC model directly into the controller, you can plug in 110VAC directly to my controllers Before I do it, I am listening to comments. Thanks in advance for your feedback |

I would prefer to use a battery, but it appears the battery I purchased does not work properly and I'm trying to work out the issue with the seller now for either a refund or exchange for a battery that will work. So right now I'm only using AC out of necessity.
Matter of fact I'm using for the first time right now to cook a pork butt.

I think a standard AC adapter is a nice option. As you can see, folks spend a lot of time and energy figuring out power.

I believe if you offered a 12 volt 4 amp li-ion battery that you know works with your controller you would sell enough batteries to be profitable. Your customers would be confident the batteries will work with your controller. Purchasing a battery from you when buying the controller would be convenient for your customers to purchase the controller and battery at the same time. Hundreds of batteries are sold from China on Ebay.com so it is possible to ship batteries to the U.S.

It is possible to send battery from HONG KONG to the world
But it is NOT allowed to send battery from BEIJING Also mailing cost from Hong Kong is much cheaper than from Beijing |

Adapter would have been great! Make the end a universal end so a battery can be easily put in its place.
A battery is my first option, but trying to find one that works and doesn't cost what the controller does is tuff. My first battery test will be with a power wheels battery. I have a couple on hand and always have one charged, plus theyre only $50 and you can get them at Walmart.
