Default Griddle and Cooking Pron

Quote:
Giving this marinade a try today! So far so good. Son's 7th B Day party is tomorrow and I have 25 lbs of bola pulpa cut(for tacos), not sure of the cut name in English, but it's from the leg/roast. Gonna post pics later on. Traditionally, it's the cut used to make milanesa which is like the Mexican version of chicken fried steak.
Here's the Spanish cuts maybe someone can tell me what the cut is in English.
http://www.lasrecetasdelaabuela.com/cortes/res.htm

My variation is:
2/ 12 oz. of Italian Dressing
1/ 6 oz. bottle of Lemon Juice
6 oz. of Wooster
5 oz. of soy sauce
about 3 tbs of Iron Works BBQ Rub
about 3 tbs of black pepper
an extra 3-4 tbs of finely chopped garlic
one can of beer to extend it a little and cut salt a bit.

You weren't kidding that it is a Stout marinade! Gonna also do some chick breast tacos and I'll marinade them with some of the same marinade cut down with some pineapple juice.

Pron to follow later on.

Anyhow, got the cook done last Saturday. Kid's B Day parties are fast and furious and most times one big BLUR!! Didnt' get too many pics, but here are a few. My neighbor, Ryan, did a killer job on the welding. The griddle worked like a charm. I'm thinking about hiring myself out for parties. There are a few Taco Guys out here that cater parties, etc. I'll call it "Tacos de Bob............"My meat in your mouth!"

That is a lot of sliced meat Bob! Love your new grill. Does it have a drain hole in the grease channel?

It sure does. Kinda felt like a short order cook behind that thing!

I made a huge batch of Ranchero Beans, the Hatch chile made a pico de gallo salsa. We had nachos, kids had hot dogs. I did that corkscrew deally to the hot dogs and the kids loved em!!!

Lots of cold beverages, guac, pasta salads, etc. Lots of good grub! I thought it might be bottom round, but wasn't sure. It really saoked up the marinade and softened up nicely. Made for some really good tacos!

The slide is not easy for "old" people to climb!!! Took me a while to haul my fat arse up there. When I finally slid down, well, gravity took over! Big Shamu kinda splash when I hit the pool at the bottom of the slide! I was pretty sore the next couple days!
