Default What do you spend on your competition meats?

I recently just competed in my first comp and am curious what most teams spend on there meats. Certainly I understand these answers will vary greatly based on a immeasurable number of variables. Also if anyone dares to share there favorite source of their meats fell free to throw that in as well.

Thanks

I am right around the two Hundred dollar mark. Brisket from a butcher, ribs from BJ's, shoulder from RD, chicken from Whole Foods.

This is approximate but pretty close...
4 slabs of st louis ribs - $40
Chicken - $10
2 10 pound butts - $30
1 Packer brisket - $40

I buy from costco, sams, RD, Sysco, or military commissary.

Here's what I spend:
$30 for Costco ribs
$25 for chicken from local grocery store
$45 for 1 RD brisket
$35 for 2 RD pork butts

$135 total. I'm looking to find better sources for ribs and pork, but so far have not had any luck. I do believe the meat I'm starting with isn't top notch compared to several other teams.

$350+, but I am in my first year and have been cooking extra, 2 briskets, 4 butts, and 8 racks to make sure I can get enough perfectly cooked meat to fill the turn-in box, so far so good though, 12 walks in 4 comps.

I'm around the $175 mark. Briskets 2x 15-17lbs and ribs 3 racks from RD, shoulders and chicken from Wegman's.
