I got word today that the contest is being canceled this year, anyone know why?

From what I read on Ray Basso's forum, economics/lack of sponsors this year.

Very sad. Not taking anything away from other organizers, but that contest has to be one of the very best organized contests in the US. They focus so much on the cooks and their satisfaction. We are going to miss it and hope that they can come back next year. They certainly don't deserve to have to cancel it.
