What is best way of pricing whole hog and how much would a small 80lb hog feed

Typically, I figure it takes about 1 1/2 pounds of whole hog to feed one person, because you have to figure in the bones head and feet. So your 80 .lb hog will feed 50-55 people, expecially if you chop it. Always seems that chopped hog will go further than pulled pork. 80/1.5= 53.33.

In April I was getting them for 1.29 a pound. June 1.75 IB. last week 3.05. They said the drought was killing every body. I have had 3 clients turn whole hog down for shoulders. Did not make as much money but, can cook em alot faster.
