Default My First comp last weekend- Alaska State Championship with Pron

Competed in my first BBQ competition last weekend, Alaska state championship which fellow Brethren bearnakedbbq took Grand. My team consisted of me and 2 of my kids. We all had fun and learned alot definitely going to do some changes to area setup for next comp, still waiting on comment cards (supposed to be emailed out) to see what area to improve on. We place 6th overall out of 20 teams and 4th in pork so I'm really happy with the results and whole experience.

Here are some pics

First time Building Boxes any pointers I'll take them! Had to have 7 piece.

Great job! I love to see kids getting involved, I do hope that mine will want to come along when they get a big older.

Great job on your first outing! Looks like you had some great help in your camp and they must know what the judges like as well.
