Default Indiana-flavor profile Madison Ribberfest

I have a couple of friends that are cooking in Indiana while visiting relatives at the Madison Ribberfest and they were kinda wondering if the flavor profiles change in different areas for competitions. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated
