Congrats to 3Eyz and everyone else who walked. This was our best showing to date. 9th chicken, 9th pork, and 7th brisket. If I didn't mess our ribs up zoo badly we may have been top 10 (think I might have poisoned the judges). Great contest site (other then the ground bees, my ankle is still swollen). Got to be next to Brown Liquor for the 2nd time. They're a good bunch of guys to set up near. A well run by John as well you can tell he put a lot of himself into putting this on.

Congrats to Dan and Chris of 3EYZ. Great venue and well run. Being between 3EYZ and Fat Maxine's BBQ, you couldn't ask for better neighbors. I invite everyone to put this contest in their plans for next year.

Definitely a great first year event -- we had a good time. This one has a lot of potential. This part of Virginia is very fortunate -- to have both this event and Que and Cruz so close to each other, they're very lucky!

We'll be back next year!

Thank for the shout out Keith, you guys did awesome and were a pleasure to be next to as well. Congrats to Dan and all who walked. We had a blast, but were pretty disappointed with a 12th in brisket being our best turn in and overall being near the bottom. We really thought we put out some good stuff...some very inconsistent oddities on the judging sheets (two 8s and two 5s on appearance for a brisket box for example, I just don't get it!). Oh well, we had a blast and enjoyed a really well run event that I predict will be a must do event in the years to come.

We got some 5's too. Everything else was 7&8's even a couple of 9's. Kept us from being where we thought we should have (would have been).
But we had a great time as well I am sure we will go again next year :)
