Default ribeye from RD

So, I took my freshly minted KCBS card and went down to Restaurant Depot. I got a beef plate (25 lbs of ribs!), some pork ribs (spares to trim down to St Louis), and my favorite, a full ribeye.

I cut the ribeye into 17 thick steaks, we had 3 for dinner (very tender and delicious) and 14 got vacuum packed and into the freezer.

Trying to post some pics, but can't seem to figure ow to do that from my iPad.....

I was in RD a few weeks back to pick up a pair of briskets. All the beef was on sale. I had a hard time not picking up a package of ribeyes and a clod and .... enjoy.

The clod was tempting, but given that I already spent $400, I led tit for next time! Have you smoked a clod? How did it go?

I'll be right over as soon as I can figure out where Marietta is.
Great looking meat there Jeff. A great way to celebrate fathers day.
