Default Best option for electric grill?

Hi Brethren-
I need to get an electric grill for use at a condo (no gas or charcoal allowed), and wanted to get your opinions on the best option. I want something that can make steaks/burgers/dogs for around 6 people.
I've read differring reviews on the Weber electrics- some say they are great, others say they don't get hot enough for a good sear. Anybody here have one or use one? How about the indoor/outdoor George Foreman? Any other good options? Thanks for any feedback you can give!

The weber looks promising. I had a meco and a george foreman when I lived in an apartment. The foreman fried more than grilled. The meco heated up fast and gave great grill marks. You will always be missing the flame, but both filled the bbq void.

Grill elsewhere or move. Seriously.

No Gas or Charcoal, I'd have to move. Or....... Fire up that grill in the bathroom and let the exhaust fan take care of the smoke. Bonus: Bath towels will have the familiar BBQ smell we all love and crave.

I made the same mistake, I mean choice of housing once and it lasted for 3.5 years. i had a Charbroil electric patio grill. It worked OK, really could not get hot enough to sear. When I would have enough of it I would drag the kettle out of the storage unit and set it up in the parking lot (my space) and cook all weekend, ribs, butts, etc. First couple of times I got a letter from the HOA then I started sharing with the board members and then didn't seem to mind.

Weber makes good products. That being said, I believe the electric Webers may be made in Asia somewhere, and an electric grill will never deliver the BTUs of charcoal, or probably even gas. But, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Ronco show time oven - or a crock pot

Not sure I'd last in a place like that, but you gotta do what you gotta do

our condo has an electric grill only rule and last summer, i managed to start a fire on on one and was pretty sure i would likely burn the building down. i managed to get it under control with no damage, but i'm damn sure i'd have never had that happen with my bge.

I had a chance to try the newest Char-Broil Patio Bistro and I think it's a pretty good product.

I should have saved all of the "move" repliers some time- this is a vacation spot. :)

Larry- was it the one listed as TRU Infrared? Did it get hot enough to sear?

Rex- which Meco did you have? Was it the combo grill and smoker, or one of the rectangular grills?

If it's just a holiday place, any option to find a spot in the grounds, or just outside, where you can use briquettes or charcoal? Or corrupt the super with a teaser?

That was my thought too if it is legal.

Just put your meat in there to develop some smokey goodness, then char on a cast iron grill grate, even on the kitchen stove.

Would be some good eats for sure.
