Did a Pork Shoulder over the holiday weekend. Was looking at alternatives to pulling/shredding & my wife mentioned something about her Kitchen Aid Mixer being able to do it. I laughed out loud...
.... that was a poor choice on my part.I decided to humor her and I threw the shoulder in. Boy was I embarrassed when after about 30 seconds of "mixing" I had a PERFECTLY shredded/pulled pork. So if you've got a kitchen aid mixer, you've got one of the best tools for pulling pork!

Interesting, which attachment did you use? I still like the consistency of manually pulled pork but this could come in handy for doing several of them at one time.

Ok ,you could have pull the put in less than 2min with hands It take a lot longer to wash it. Besides the time it took getting it out and set up.

It looks like it's well pulled. I like mine a little chunkier, but that looks a lot like some I've had in the Carolinas. Personally, I think it dries out when it's pulled that fine, but to each his/her own!

I was a little too fine for me too but I could have done it for 10 secs & it would've been awesome. I noticed it was a timing thing... Give it a try! As far as the comment on cleaning the mixer etc, that took 30 secs. I know because I actually cleaned it after doubting my wife

Hi!
I need to know more about this, I have three big pork shoulders in the freezer. What size pieces did you put in? Nice looking lunch, by the way.
