competitions in IL
I entered my first competition last month and had a blast (I also finished first in chicken and 2nd overall.) It was a small town, backyard style competition, and as I perfect my recipes and skills I would like to keep with this approach before thinking about bigger competitions. Anyone know of good competitions within 3-4 hours of Chicago? Thanks for the help...

I guess I saw your post too late. This weekend is Red White ans BBQ in Westmont at Ty Warner park. I was there last night for a quick visit and the smoke was already rolling. I even saw a Bretheren flag flyin'! I would guess it's too late to enter but a good place to check out if your looking for something do.
