We're in the same boat. I use a think towel and wrap around it...and won't let anyone else turn in...lol.

Parsley Lady found a carrier that is designed for a casserole dish. It made of padded fabric and folds over the box and has wooden handled on top. She still carries it from the bottom :)

We use a 6pack can cooler turned sideways...keep a couple heat paks in it, works like a charm for all of turnins...7.99 walmart special, keeps heat in, and is perfectly snug around the box.

I just carry the box. If raining I put a half pan over the top. I've been to lazy to come up with anything else.

Most of the ones I've seen have been handmade, but I know you can get some online - Google "insulated casserole carrier" or "insulated pizza carrier" or something like that.

We use generic hot bags from BJs. Not casserole specific - handles are on the wrong side. (The bag goes on it's side, the box goes in, and it stays that way until its handed over.)

They are $10-$20 and work great - we recently had chicken prepped 30 mins early (...sigh) and it was still hot when actual turn-in time came around.

Sams and Publix have Hot/Cold bags that work perfectly. They sell them there.
