Hi all
I made a UDS yesterday and had to try it out today
i started out with 2 chimney starter full of Kingsford Blue with about 10 lighted to use the minon method,
after i got the UDS up to 250 i put on two ten lbs Butts, the time i but the butts on was 11:00 AM
i had one problem getting the temp back where i needed it to to , i open all three nipples and the temp just got to 221:crazy:
i had to add more hot Charcoal to my basket , after adding this the UDS
Locked in running 250 for five hours and they the temp started to clime up around 275 ,
i wrap after running 5 hours , check again after 6 hours UDS temp was 284 , meat temp was 197
check the temp just now temp still at 209
this would be almost 10 hours later :thumb:
very happy with the UDS i just did not put enough lit charcoal in in the beginning,
Butts had a great color and were dead on :heh:
